Business survey on the #shanghai lockdowns
The German Chamber's latest survey on May 12th
Some highlights:
73% of the respondents’ business operations are in areas under full or partial lockdown
…Production capacity is hampered by the following factors: lack of logistics availability, missing raw materials and pre-products, missing transport permits, and uncertainty due to rapidly changing policies.
The majority produces at capacity rates between 30% to 50%.
Talent issues:
46% of the surveyed companies’ foreign employees have plans to leave China
Staff cannot leave districts or compounds
Getting proper food and testing completed, and staff mobility continue to be challenging
